Request Week

Hi All,

To get the activity going here I need your help. I have run into a problem with this little resource. Either no one knows about it or people don't find the tutorials useful. For a full week - Saturday 8th November to Saturday 15th November I will be accepting all requests relating to web standards and CSS. If you have a question or need help I will be happy to solve it all this week.

This excludes building/designing complete sites, I have a life as well!

Get those questions rolling...

I have a problem with my design (www.affectus.net/freelance/jezz_two/). when I want to add unordered lists to the sidebar, or side menu, i can't get them to align where i want them. there is always too much blank space to the left of the ul.

when i had them setup the way i wanted, i tested in a couple of browsers, and in IE, they were completely hidden. Is it best to find a comprimise for alignment, or is there something I can do to the structure? Let me know. =)

So basically, my question is about sidemenu alignment, concerning UL. =)

Here a few more, since I have alot. The answer you had for the first question... AWESOME. :)

I would like to add a bullet icon (like bullet.gif) to the beginning of a line, (like .posttitle in my design http://www.affectus.net/freelance/jezz_two/) but i want it to not interfere with the text at all. also, would it be possible to have the bullet, as WELL as the background color of the feature?

I've been trying to put it into my design with little luck. So I guess my question is about styling elements with bullets + backgrounds, like UL/OL and normal DIV's. :)

I would like to do something like http://binarybonsai.com/

Where my left and right side of my content area as well as my header and footer among other things are all controlled with CSS so I can change the colours and images used in the layout by switching to another css file.

So, I'd need to know how to keep my layound centered. How to change the images on the left and right hand side of the content area, and how to change the header image, and footer images as well as the background colour of the page and the background colour or image of the content area. This would all have to be done while keeping my Word Press blog working. :D

Any help, or tutorials would be GREATLY appreciated.

Well some editing of teh index.php form Wordpress would be required as its not enough to simply change the stylesheet more work than that needs to be done.

Ill probabley be adding a tutorial on skinning wordpress on my own site.
